Palm
- Rub your hands together to get them warm.
- Place both hands over your eyes with your palms resting on or around your cheekbones and don’t let your palms touch your eyes.
- Maintain deep and stable breathe and clear your mind, try not to think of anything else but focus on the present.
- Repeat for several minutes as you take deep breaths in and out.
Blinking
- Sit comfortably with your eyes open.
- Blink for about 10 to 20 times very fast.
- Close your eyes and take a 20 seconds break. Meanwhile maintain stable and deep breath.
- Repeat for 5 rounds.
Eye rolling
- Sit tall and breath in deeply.
- Slowly look up to the ceiling, letting yourself focus above, while start to slowly breath out.
- Roll both of your eyes so that you’re looking all the way to your right.
- Roll both of your eyes so that you’re looking all the way down.
- Roll both of your eyes so that you’re looking all the way to your left.
- Come back to looking at the ceiling, remember to maintain stable and deep breath.
- Repeat for 3 to 5 rounds, then start to do the opposite direction.
Distance gazing
- Rest your gaze on a distant object.
- Focus on the object as clearly as possible.
- Take a deep breath, then shift your gaze to another distant object.
- Repeat for three rounds, take some rest.
Benefits of eye yoga exercise
There’s no evidence to support the claim that eye yoga can actually improve eyesight, or relief dry eye conditions. What is more, no eye yoga exercise has been deemed as a way to improve dark eye circles. Also, it is highly recommended to consult your physician before doing eye yoga.
However, that doesn’t mean eye yoga is useless. There’s some evidence suggesting that eye yoga might actually be able to help with your ability to focus your eyes and help reduce eye strain symptoms. For people with eye fatigue, eye yoga is a good way to relax your eyes very quickly without any side effects.
